		<description>Simple Threads is the blog of American Made clothing and goods enthusiast and blogger Ryan Berger. 

I teamed up with Riley Cran to work on a series of new marks for Ryan's blog. A primary wordmark, and a suite of supporting marks were created.

It was important to Ryan that an American and industrious feel was shown in this work and that the marks stayed true to his roots. 

A refresh of the Simple Threads blog is slated to be finished within the first quarter of 2012. Stay tuned.

The identity reflects the BCC's stance on accomplishing compassionate outreach and effective discipleship with a look and feel that evokes confidence and trust. The solution was uni-line mark that resembles an Icthus and an open book.

		<description>While employed at GoKart Labs I was the lead user interface and experience designer on the design of the new UMPhysicians Cancer Care at Fairview website.

The objective of the project was to design and develop a new website for the UMPhysicians Cancer Care at Fairview that would serve as an educational and resource hub for prospective and current patients seeking or being treated for cancer. Furthermore, the website aimed to show the breadth of services offered as well as the world re-known treatment available to those seeking cancer care. Lastly, it was important to design a website that was simple, easily navigable, and put user experience at the forefront.

The refreshed logo direction leverages the existing wordmark with minor updates that involve dropping the extraneous tagline and tweaking font weights and letter-spacing. Accordingly, It is paired with the new brandmark that is fun, vibrant, unique, recognizable and shows the interconnectivity and diversity of the application.

With classic American style and eclectic contemporary flair, Ina Grau's designs incorporate old fashion techniques, art, travel and a lot of fun."

I was approached by Crystal &#38; Luisa with just a sharpie sketch of their logo and was asked to lead the creation of the identity and cultivate the Ina Grau brand. We took a handmade approach to the collateral and opted for stamps over traditional print methods to preserve that do it yourself handmade feel. Cards are printed on 80lb French Construction Grout Gray with rotating ink colors.
